The “HUB Zone” Empowerment Contracting program was enacted into law as part of the Small Business Reauthorization Act of 1997. The program falls under the auspices of the U.S. Small Business Administration. The program encourages economic development in historically underutilized business zones – “HUB Zones” – through the establishment of preferences. For over 10 years JBE has leveraged this certification to grow its business organically.

The National Minority Supplier Development Council, is one of the country’s leading business membership organizations. It was chartered in 1972 to provide increased procurement and business opportunities for minority businesses of all sizes.
